新塘村是海丰县公平镇的行政村，在县城北面约8公里，沿河岸向西北呈条状分布。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年属二区平南乡，接着1952年起属青围乡，随后1958年为公平公社青围大队。1974年从青围大队析出糖房、新埔、磁窑三个自然村，各取“新”“糖”两字，设新糖大队，再后来1987年定名新塘村委会，此后1989年改管理区，接着1998年复设村委会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

总人口1400多人，耕地1082亩。[1]

经济[edit]

以种粮食和甘蔗为主，余下劳力外出做工。村里引进红心火龙果项目，又把新埔自然村800多亩稻田承包给湖南益阳的一家种植公司。2020年8月以番薯入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
