历史沿革[edit]
村名在明嘉靖年间已有。1952年属胜岗乡，接着1958年为公平镇胜岗大队，随后1974年胜岗大队一分为二，后山等五个自然村另立后山大队，再后来1984年称后山乡，此后1987年改后山村委会，接着1989年改管理区，随后1998年恢复村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
辖潭头垅、新村、桔仔园、安吉寮、后山五个自然村，沿赤坭至公平的公路呈块状分布，有路通公平、城东、海城。[1]
人口民族[edit]
博雅地名网记总人口3850多人，耕地约2800亩。[1]
经济[edit]
以种水稻、番薯、花生为主；村里把山坡地租给泰国商人种速生桉，租金充实了集体收入，被视为镇上经济较好的村。2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
