地名由来[edit]
村前过去有一段呈螺状弯曲的小河，流水声像螺声，村子原名“螺川”，后来改叫罗村[2]。旺罗村的地名传说里，贼人夜里抢掠了鉴江对岸的罗村，可见两村隔江相望[2]。
历史沿革[edit]
1958年公社化时为罗村兵营，1961年拆为谢料、蔗地、罗村、新塘和古棉五队，1963年并为罗村大队，1983年改罗村乡，1986年改农村管理区，1999年改称罗村村民委员会[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，罗村村在广东省2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建名单之列；2021年12月获广东省卫生村称号[1]。
