地理环境[edit]
村域面积3.37平方千米，石灰岩地质，土壤偏沙。2008年统计有水田面积1016亩、旱地面积1110亩、山地面积1595亩、鱼塘面积193亩。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2008年全村人口1599人（500户），分散在5条自然村。[1]
经济[edit]
村民多种经营，瓜菜、玉米的种植面积较大。村里1994年修了2公里水泥村道，建起村委会办公楼；次年在圩镇置办一间铺位出租，补充集体收入；2006年得到市老促会4万元资助，重建了横平桥。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年为联合社，1958年成为生产大队，1984年改称乡人民政府，1986年起改称村民委员会，1989年又称管理区；1998年10月，恩平市政府批准定名横平村民委员会。2019年9月，该村名列「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]
