历史沿革[edit]
明嘉靖年间，福建永定县的戴姓人迁来立村。1958年设国营西坑林场磜仔管理区，接着1964年改西坑林场磜仔大队，随后1987年改村委会，再后来1989年改管理区，此后1994年属西坑乡，接着1998年复设村委会，随后2005年属公平镇。[1]
地理环境[edit]
是下村与万仔村的合称，辖下岗、三对门、万仔、下、田背五个自然村，村委会设在下村。地处高丘陵，海拔500米以上，山坡陡，人均可耕地不足0.22亩；有4公里村级水泥路接海紫公路。[1]
人口民族[edit]
93户，360多人，耕地190多亩。[1]
经济[edit]
种水稻、番薯，产柑桔、香蕉、青梅、龙眼。2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号，2023年4月列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单，2024年1月被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
