历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，约400年前邱氏祖先从河南迁到这里。[2]建国初期坪山改区时设金龟乡，其后在1954年组织互助组，1958年办起人民公社，到1986年改设村民委员会。[2]社区在赤坳水库上游，1991年起为深圳市重点水源保护区，1998年又被广东省划为重点生态林保护区。[2]
地名由来[edit]
博雅地名网记，此地有一条山坑，过去产金钱龟，因而得名。[2]百度百科则说，村子倚靠的大山形似金龟。[3]
地理环境[edit]
社区森林覆盖率为93%，分为7个居民小组，即坪头岭、半坝、同石、金成、金地、新塘、田作。[1][2]金龟河自东向西穿过社区，房屋沿河谷分散布置。[3]村落从山脚一直延伸到海拔689米的田心山半山，最高处的坪头岭仅剩一户原住民。[3]
人口民族[edit]
坪山区政府网站载，社区户籍人口752人，常住人口约800人。[1]村中原居民均为客家人，约160余户。[3]
经济[edit]
金龟村旧时盛产金龟桔，古宝安县流传「南山桃、金龟桔、龙岗黄脚鸡、坑梓沙梨」的说法，指当地四大名产。[3]近年来一部分房屋和生态空间改作民宿、农庄、手工作坊和营地。[3]
文化[edit]
2019年9月，社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2022年8月被认定为「第二批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」；2022年11月入选「2021年度全国综合减灾示范社区」。[2]
