新田村是洽水镇（属怀集县，肇庆市）的一个行政村，在洽水镇东北部，与阳山县相邻，面积约11平方千米，下设8个村民小组，村情材料记总人口1400多人。到怀集县城54公里，到洽水圩14公里[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1998年11月，怀集县政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准设立新田村村民委员会，而村委会就设在新田村，故以此为名。[1]

该村1958年编为生产大队，1983年11月改设乡，1987年又改为村委会，1989年4月起设管理区，1998年11月改称村民委员会[1]。

获得的称号和名单：

  • 2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]

村里引资建水电站，引进木业公司种桉树。农业以造林为主，种水稻、花生，养鱼。[1]
