历史沿革[edit]
解放前属马西乡第九堡；于1953年为钱新乡，于1954年建高级社，于1958年公社化，于1961年分为垌心、中龙、河背三个大队，于1963年合并为钱新大队；于1982年为钱新乡，于1986年起设村民委员会，其间于1989年曾叫管理区办事处，于1999年定名为钱新村民委员会[1]。
地名由来[edit]
此地与钱排相连，旧时也叫钱排，解放后称钱排新村，后来简化为钱新[2]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，钱新村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。广东省农业农村厅2020年8月公布的「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」中有钱新村，作物为三华李[1]。
