南坑村在鹤山市共和镇区北部，南面与镇区相连，东邻来苏村，西接泮坑村，北与桔园村相望，总面积约6平方千米。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村委会原分东享、南庄两片，1966年合并为一个大队，各取一字得「南享」，当地话读音近「南坑」，遂以此为名。[1]清代属鹤山县新化都，民国属第三区；1958年为共和公社南坑大队，1983年称南坑乡，1986年称南坑管理区，1998年起称南坑村民委员会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村旁设有佛开高速和江鹤高速的出入口，村南是江鹤一级公路。7条自然村依次为南兴、南庄、永丰、奕龙、金龙、东兴、旧村。南庄村口有一棵约120年树龄的古榕。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2008年的人口为936人，另有2110位华侨和港澳同胞。[1]
经济[edit]
2008年有耕地384亩、鱼塘32亩、林地4100亩，以水稻为主，兼种花生、瓜菜并养殖鱼塘；人均收入6500元，全村经济总收入合计5161万元。[1]
2021年12月，南坑村获2021年广东省卫生村称号；2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
