历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前隶高要县第四区；1953年属第九区新村乡，1959年7月起为永安人民公社的新村大队。1983年4月改新村乡，1986年11月改新村村，1988年3月划归鼎湖区。1995年4月，该村与邻近各村一起划出永安镇，改隶贝水镇；1998年改称村民委员会；2001年1月贝水镇撤销，村重归永安镇。[2]
