地名与沿革[edit]
红中村解放初称江中乡，后来与红光分开，成为江中大队，再由“江”转为“红”，得名红中。[1]这里1958年编为红中大队，80年代初改乡，1986年成为管理区，1998年设村委会。[1]
贞寿牌坊[edit]
贞寿牌坊又称“贞寿之门”，在红中村的珠江村村口，建于清道光六年（1826年）。它是四柱三拱门的砖砌牌坊，正面额写“贞寿之门”，背面额写“一百七岁”，灰塑细致，是为表彰“身见七代”的百岁老人江伍氏（1720－1826）而建，百度百科称它是肇庆地区仅有的清代贞寿牌坊，今为县级文物保护单位。[2]
据博雅地名网载录，村里自然村有马迹河、山垌、车田、筋竹、珠江、新村、高埌，共515户、1893人。2024年4月，红中村进入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
