据博雅地名网，村民委员会于1999年依广东省关于理顺农村基层管理体制的通知，撤销管理区后设立[1]。
荣誉[edit]
2023年4月公布的「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单中有新村；2023年11月，新村又被选入「广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村」[1]。
