村名取自村委会驻地：1998年经县政府批准设立，因设在榄山村而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
行政建置依次为：新中国成立初期为榄山乡，人民公社化后为榄山大队（1962年），榄山管理区（1989年），榄山村民委员会（1998年）。[1]
