太坪村是广东省韶关市翁源县新江镇下辖的行政村。村内的大袁屋自然村有一座清代围楼，1803年起建，2011年被公布为县级文物保护单位。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年至1957年，这里是太坪乡；1958年至1983年改称太坪大队；1983年复称乡，1986年起为村委会；1993年改称太坪管理区，1998年改名太坪村委会，名称沿用至今。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

大袁屋围楼在大袁屋自然村，面朝西、背靠东，占地建筑约2000平方米，周围群山环绕。据百度百科，围楼于1803年（清嘉庆癸亥年）动工，1833年（清道光癸巳年）竣工，前后历时30年；2011年11月被翁源县人民政府公布为第五批文物保护单位。[2]围墙正面平直，背面两角呈圆弧形，前后各有角楼，另有一座望楼，三者排成“品”字形；外墙用灰砂和河石夯筑，墙厚0.4至0.5米，门框、门槛和门墩用花岗岩制成。[2][3]楼内设有斗宝公祠、议事厅、客厅等100余间房屋，开西、南、北三道大门。[2]围楼目前处于失修状态。[2]

太坪村在2019年9月进入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」之列。[1]
