村情材料载，全村863户、2759人，耕地3682亩。农作物以水稻、甘薯、花生、瓜果和豆类为主，近年探索出鱼塘养四大家鱼、塘基养瘦肉型猪的模式。[1]
历史沿革与地名[edit]
1949年以前隶高要县第四区；1953年属第九区三八乡，1959年7月先称三八大队，1962年才改用永安大队之名，隶永安人民公社。[1][2] 1983年4月起称永安乡，1986年起称永安村，1988年3月自高要划出、归鼎湖区，1998年10月起设村民委员会。[2]
村名与永安社区同出一说：清初洪水之年粮船船主分粮赈灾，所在之地得名永安，后设永安圩。[3]
