新村是广东省江门市开平市苍城镇北部的行政村，离镇区6公里，面积约2平方千米，属革命老区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
李炎华、李连生等人原住鹤山县宅梧公社双桥乡闹洞村（镇海水库旁），1958年迁到现在的位置，新建的村落便叫「新村」。[1] 博雅地名网的概况另有「1558年建镇海水库搬迁」一句，年份与水库工程对不上，应是1958年的笔误，这里依地名由来一栏。[1]
1958年成立新村大队，归苍城公社，1961年转东河公社，1963年重回苍城公社。[1] 1984年建新村乡人民政府，1987年起称新村管理区，1999年定为新村村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
全村4个村民小组，172户、567人，人均年收入5800元（博雅地名网，未注年份）；耕地500亩，水田占400亩，另有林地1000亩。[1] 种水稻之外，村里搞种养业：荔枝最多时种了500多亩，鸡鸭鹅的饲养量达100万只。[1]
2000年，村投入30多万元修建牌坊、水泥路、护栏、路灯等，2003年，开平市将其评为标兵文明村；2026年1月，获广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村称号。[1]
