新村是珠海市斗门区乾务镇的行政村，清光绪年间由陈氏先祖从台山等地迁来建村，因建村时间晚于周边的南山、虎山、马山等村而称“新村”。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村最初叫“南兴里”，由陈意夫妇带着三个儿子迁入而成，立村于清光绪二十二年（1896年，沿革栏作1897年）。建国初期隶中山县第八区三山乡，其后历经新村大队（1965年起隶斗门县乾务公社）、新村乡（1984年，隶五山区公所）、新村委会（1986年，隶五山镇），2002年并入新建的乾务镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年9月，新村名列广东省第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（优质稻）；2023年11月，入选「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村。[1]
