历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，此处人工填土建成渔民新村，定名新村；该网页的标题写作“新村村”。[1]
1958年渔民在省政府资助下上岸居住，村名定为新村；1984年改作新村乡，1987年3月据惠东府函〔1987〕23号批复定名新村村委会，1992年起设管理区，1999年又改设村委会。[1]
文化[edit]
2023年4月，新村在「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村创建单位名单」之列；2026年1月又被评为「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
