水口村是广东省肇庆市高要区活道镇辖下的行政村，在镇政府驻地西面，距镇政府驻地约13公里[1]。

地理与人口[edit]

据博雅地名网所载村情，全村面积约16平方千米，耕地2171亩、山地24115亩，设14个村民小组，总人口4238人。[1]

经济[edit]

山多林密、水量充足，村内建有西流降水发电站；种植柑橘和速生尾叶桉，林木还有马尾松、杉、竹等。这里是镇里玉桂、佛手等南药的传统种植地，沙尾村的荔枝、龙眼也有名气。西与云浮腰古相邻，北隔江与白诸镇金平长村相望。[1]

文化[edit]

旧宅、大冲坑等达到生态文明村标准；2020年8月入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（剑花）；入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国前该地隶高要县二区，1952年划入六区。1955年归莲塘区广华乡；到1958年成立旧宅大队，隶新桥公社；1959年起转隶活道公社；至1983年旧宅大队改为水口乡；1987年起撤乡设村民委员会，1989年改设管理区，1998年恢复村民委员会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈以载墓在村内，明嘉靖二十年（1541年）所建，坐南朝北，红砂岩石材砌筑，占地50多平方米；墓前两通碑记分别由田汝成、林希元撰文，记述袁州府推官陈以载的家世和生平，对研究陈氏迁居高要的历史有一定价值[3]。
