南联社区在龙岗街道中心，面积5.69平方千米，四至为：北面龙平路，南面爱南路，西面龙岗河，东面八仙岭公园。[1] 户籍人口28383人，而常住人口达143362人，是龙岗街道人口最多的社区，约占街道的三分之一强。[1] 鹤湖新居坐落在社区内的罗瑞合村。[2][3]
居民小组与居住形态[edit]
社区由村改居而来，共17个居民小组，其中有刘屋、邱屋、麻岭、银珠岭、黄龙塘、龙溪、罗瑞合、圳埔、向前等。[1] 辖区既有城中村、老屋村和旧工业区，也有城市更新后建起的花园小区、商住小区和公寓楼；住宅小区约39个，城中村占19个；另有14个工厂园区，约748家工厂企业。[1] 出租屋多达5774栋、10万余套，社区划分了110个网格。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
鹤湖新居在罗瑞合居民小组，为广东省文物保护单位，由客家人罗瑞凤在清乾隆年间动工兴建，主体建成于嘉庆二十二年（1817年）。[2] 围屋总占地约2.5万平方米，内外两围相套，1996年辟为龙岗客家民俗博物馆。[2][3]
