地理环境[edit]
村域面积11.92平方千米，高山与低丘相间，土壤偏沙。2008年统计有水田面积1760亩、旱地面积142亩、山地面积7496亩、鱼塘面积284亩。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2008年全村人口1686人（495户），分散在15条自然村、15个村民小组。[1]
经济[edit]
1998年建成甘围小学，是希望工程资助的学校。2001年起，姚活旋、梁天乐先后养殖本地塘虱共35亩；2002年引进沙姜种植，村里成为镇内沙姜的生产基地。另有一条4公里长、5米宽的村道称“民心路”，由上级部门拨款130万元修筑，2008年11月完工。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年为联合社，1958年成为生产大队，1984年改称乡人民政府，1986年起改称村民委员会，1989年又称管理区；1998年10月，恩平市政府批准定名甘围村民委员会。[1]
