大端村是广东省肇庆市高要区活道镇辖下的行政村，在镇域西南面，距镇政府驻地约13公里^[1]。

地理与人口[edit]

据博雅地名网所载村情，全村面积约10.3平方千米，耕地1123亩、山地14082亩，设3个村民小组，总人口1863人。^[1]

林木有松、杉、笋竹、青椽、白椽等；近年调整农业布局，发展养鸡养猪和沙糖橘、蔬菜种植。活道至新兴车岗的公路经村前，村内设有完全小学、卫生分院和敬老院，南、西两面与新兴县车岗镇接壤。^[1]

2006年达到生态文明村标准；入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2019年9月公布）。^[1]

建国前该地隶高要县二区，1952年划入六区。1955年称大端社，归莲塘区江南乡。此后成为新桥公社下的大端大队（1958年），翌年转入活道公社；至1983年政社分设，改作大端乡，1987年乡改村民委员会，1989年又叫管理区，到1998年管理区撤销，再次成立村民委员会。^[2]
