牛围村是广东省肇庆市高要区活道镇辖下的行政村，在镇政府北面，距镇政府驻地约3.5公里[1]。
地理与人口[edit]
据博雅地名网所载村情，全村面积约9.5平方千米，耕地1005亩、山地13097亩，设12个村民小组，总人口1531人。[1]
经济[edit]
村东有大面岭山脉，南临佛仔岭，山地资源多，种柑橘和速生桉是农户增收的主要办法。[1]
文化[edit]
塘科、塔路、坑尾三个自然村建成省卫生村，新村达到生态文明村标准。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国前该地隶高要县二区，1952年划入六区。1955年称牛围社，归莲塘区江南乡。此后成为新桥公社下的牛围大队（1958年），翌年转入活道公社；至1983年政社分设，改作牛围乡，1987年乡改村民委员会，1989年又叫管理区，到1998年管理区撤销，再次成立村民委员会。[2]
