山塘口村是广东省肇庆市高要区活道镇辖下的行政村，在镇政府驻地西面，距镇政府驻地约5.4公里[1]。
地理与人口[edit]
据博雅地名网所载村情，全村面积约13.5平方千米，耕地1523亩、山地16929亩，设7个村民小组，总人口1876人。[1]
经济[edit]
活道至水口的公路穿过全村；山地上种沙糖橘、笋竹和速生桉，平地除水稻外还种粉蕉、蔬菜；村内有大降发电站，河水自东向西流过，供灌溉之用。[1]
文化[edit]
山塘口、双河、上蕨坑、吉田朗等村民小组已达到生态文明村标准和省卫生村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国前该地隶高要县二区，1952年划入六区。1955年曾称山塘口社。此后成为新桥公社下的山塘口大队（1958年），翌年转入活道公社；至1983年政社分设，改作山塘口乡，1987年乡改村民委员会，1989年又叫管理区，到1998年管理区撤销，再次成立村民委员会。[2]
