水口村位于广东省惠州市惠东县白花镇，是该镇的村级单位之一。白花河在这里汇入西枝江，是河水的出口，因此取名水口。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清两朝，归善县平山司的高坑约管辖此地；1947年划入惠阳县第四区高河乡，1949年12月起称水口村。1958年10月设水口大队隶白花公社；1961年6月它并入高埠大队，直到1979年才重设。1983年11月，水口并入坦塘乡，但仍用水口村的建制名称；1987年3月成立村委会，1991年12月起作为水口管理区运行，1999年4月起称水口村委会。[2]
经济[edit]
- 水口村是广东省乡村振兴局于2022年1月确定的2021年度乡村治理示范村创建单位。[1]
- 水口村于2017年10月获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
- 2019年9月，水口村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
著名人物[edit]
戴德芬（1886年—1976年）是水口村人，毕业于两广高级师范大学堂（今中山大学），一生从事教育，曾任海丰、河源等地多所中学校长；1948年返乡，出任平山中学首任校长，后受聘为广东省文史馆馆员。[3]
