历史沿革[edit]
1952年土地改革时在此设车田乡；人民公社化（1958年）后叫车田大队；二十多年后的1983年，区公所之下又称车田乡；1987年成立车田村民委员会，1989年一度改为车田管理区办事处，1999年重称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
据村民委员会自述，该村地处南亚热带，年平均气温23℃、年降雨量1890毫米；主要经济作物为稻谷、蚕桑。上一年（未注年份）农村经济总收入1984.9万元。[1]村民到合江镇蚕桑产业协会听课、领取技术资料，大量种桑养蚕；全村另种有速生林等，据称每年增收500多万元。村里自筹资金修建硬底化村道约6公里。[1]
