新迳村是广东省肇庆市高要区活道镇辖下的行政村，在镇政府驻地东南方，距镇政府驻地约12.5公里[1]。
地理与人口[edit]
据博雅地名网所载村情，全村面积约4平方千米，耕地824亩、山地4617亩，设3个村民小组，总人口892人。[1]
经济[edit]
淡水养殖以四大家鱼和罗非鱼为主，蔬菜种植以粉葛、沙葛、茄瓜为主；与佛山市高明区更合镇接壤，新村工业园在其境内。[1]
文化[edit]
大迳、新村两个村民小组已达到生态文明村标准；入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2019年9月公布）。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国前该地隶高要县二区，1952年划入六区。1955年并入莲塘区江南乡；到1958年由新村、大迳、芝糊、鳌头四个自然村成立胜利大队，隶新桥公社；1959年起转隶活道公社，名称不变，仍叫胜利大队；1978年析为新村、大迳、鳌头三个大队；至1983年撤大队设乡，1987年撤乡设村民委员会；1989年时新村、大迳合并，设新迳管理区；1998年恢复村民委员会。[2]
