历史沿革[edit]
水口与斜周在1952年共组扶北乡，1960年水口单独设大队[1]。公社时期之后的变动：设乡在1984年，改设村委会在1986年，1989年一度叫管理区，1998年恢复村委会之名[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
双水塔别称水口塔、白塔，是明万历年间所建的砖塔；县级保护始于1989年，2008年升为省级文物保护单位，2019年完成全面修缮[1][2]。塔的高度各来源不一：博雅地名网记为24.8米，百度百科记为34.1米[1][2]。
据仁化县人民政府网站，双水塔通高34.1米，为六角七层的楼阁式砖塔，建于明万历年间，首层门额刻有「文光辉映」四字；近年镇里围绕古塔一带的「一河两岸」，沿河一带辟出三座主题公园，分别以红色文化、茶和稻田研学为题。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，水口村名列「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」；2023年4月入选「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2024年1月确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」；2026年3月被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」[1]。
