梅溪村是丰顺县汤坑镇所辖的行政村之一，位于汤坑镇西面^[1]。村名的来历是：从前山溪两岸梅树成片，因此叫梅溪^[2]。2004年10月撤销东联镇后改归汤坑镇管辖^[3]。

据博雅地名网所载：1962年起叫作梅溪大队；此后1982年起叫作梅溪乡人民政府；随后1987年起叫作梅溪村民委员会；再后来1990年起叫作梅溪管理区；接着1999年起叫作梅溪村村民委员会；2004年10月东联镇建制撤销后，梅溪村民委员会划入汤坑镇。^[3]

梅溪村是革命老区^[1]。

荣誉：在2026年3月被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。^[1]
