历史沿革[edit]
村名几经变化：古称金瓯堡，后改名儒村；1952年，七星的田溪等村并入儒村一片进行土改，定名儒溪乡。[1][3]
1927年属下金瓯堡，1936年属金瓯乡，1946年与海舟乡合为海金乡。1958年10月叫儒溪大队；1961年8月曾拆成北良、基边、江边、下儒、上儒五队，1963年2月又合为一个。[2]
1983年底成立儒溪乡，其后改称行政村、管理区，1999年5月称儒溪村委会。[2]
人口民族[edit]
全村有江边、上儒、下儒、北良、新村、基槎6个自然村，分21个经济社，户籍人口7000多人。[3]
经济[edit]
儒溪村2019年入选南海区乡村振兴精品示范村，2020年入选佛山市乡村振兴示范村。[3]2020年至2022年，它连续入选淘宝村名单。2023年11月，村子既被认定为第三批全国乡村治理示范村，又列入广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村；2024年4月，它还进入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。[1]
