村下辖18个村民小组，总人口3027人，距县城20公里、离镇驻地6公里。[1] 村里引导村民种植贡柑和沙糖橘，种植面积达2000多亩。[1] 2026年3月，大塘村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
