清水村是莲都镇东部的行政村，与怀集县相邻，距镇政府14公里，分设15个村民小组，居民1301人，辖区37平方公里。[1]
地名与沿革[edit]
村委会设在大塘村，旁有一条山溪，水清凉，常年不枯，因此得名。[1]1950年设乡民会，1953年改乡人民政府，1955年为低级社，1957年为高级社，1958年为生产大队，1987年改称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济与荣誉[edit]
村为山区，水田和耕地很少，林木品种多，林木蓄积约31000立方米，松脂产量居封开县各村前列；年轻村民多外出到珠三角务工。[1]2019年9月，该村名列2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
