大塘村在汕尾市海丰县平东镇南部，村域8.34平方千米，辖大塘、新寮、东塘、上东塘、小坑5个自然村，与省道335线相接。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清乾隆年间，福建叶姓人迁来立村。1973年从平东大队分出，设大塘大队；1984年称大塘乡，1987年为平东镇大塘村委会，1989年改管理区办事处，1998年复称村委会。[2]
经济与荣誉[edit]
耕地2638亩，其中有效耕地1380.5亩，山地1235亩。[1] 荣誉方面：2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2020年8月其南瓜入选首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；2021年12月获「2021年广东省卫生村」；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[2]
革命历史[edit]
镇政府网站提到，农会长林风享、赤卫队员刘如山以及东江纵队战士胡乃福等人，是村里革命活动的代表。[1]
