历史沿革[edit]
村前有一条河，村子建在河边的高地上，形状像埠头，村民便以「上埠」为村名。[1]
1950年，上埠、窑村等24条自然村组成上埠大队，驻上埠；1983年改乡，1987年改管理区，1999年定名上埠村委会。2017年，新村仔等9条村从上埠分出，另立新村仔村。[1][3]
人口民族[edit]
博雅地名网记，村委会辖24条自然村，登记总人口4093人，党员78人（未注明年份）。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地4184亩，种水稻、花生、甘蔗，也种荔枝、红橙、龙眼和蔬菜。2021年1月，上埠村入选湛江市2020年度全市文明村。[1]
