大塘村是广州市花都区花东镇的行政村，在花都大道以南，面积约2.1平方千米，下辖10个村民小组，村委会介绍的总人口为2170余人（未注明年份），离花东镇约3公里^[1]。

地名由来[edit]

村所在的地势偏低，形状像一口大水塘，所以叫大塘^[1]。

村委会原设在今第三经济社，上世纪70年代迁到现址。1987年1月，花东区公所设大塘村委会，3月归花东镇人民政府^[1]。

村里把荒山荒地承包给外来承包人，收取租金；山上种果树，水田种水稻、花生，鱼塘养四大家鱼^[1]。大塘村在2017年10月获「第一批广东省卫生村」称号，2019年9月列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」，2024年11月认定为「2024年广州市充分就业社区」^[1]。
