历史沿革[edit]
2024年5月，原大塘社区以东明、元龙两处门牌号为界，一分为二。东部为大塘东社区，东邻聚德花苑小区，北到碧映路；西部为大塘西社区，西接敦和路，北至赤岗西路。两者南面都与南洲街道相邻[1][2]。
名胜古迹[edit]
维基百科的海珠区文物保护单位列表，把大塘村曹氏宗祠、观荫李公祠和大塘村李氏宗祠列在江海街道大塘社区名下，都是清代建筑，属「第八批广州市文物保护单位」[3]。
