沙地村属广东省高州市大井镇，是镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区，村名来自当地沙质过多的土壤。[1]
地名由来[edit]
从前此地土壤含沙过多，称为沙地，村以此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
沙地大队原属南塘公社，1961年公社体制下放时划归从南塘公社分出的大井公社。1983年建乡，1986年改称农村管理区，1999年起设村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，沙地村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2019年9月，列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。[1]
