1958年公社化时划归杨梅公社，叫古岭大队；1983年称古岭乡；1987年建立村民委员会，1989年改称管理区办事处；1999年起沿用至今。[1]

主要经济作物为雪豆和辣椒，养鱼是特色收入，并抓雪豆、花生等的种植；村情页给出的上一年农村经济总收入是3020万元。村里修通了杨梅至古岭的水泥路。[1]
