莲塘村位于荔城街道北部，东临增江河，西接增派旅游大道，分上莲塘、下莲塘两个自然村，户籍人口约806人。[1]

增城区人民政府的荔城街概况称，村内有广州市内规模最大的古树群，由乌榄树和荔枝树组成；2024年，莲塘春色景区创成国家3A级旅游景区。[2]

荣誉[edit]

莲塘村获评广东省乡村治理示范村；2025年，该村被列入新一届全国文明村镇的提名培育对象。村里建有新时代文明实践站暨花城书房和非遗文创空间。[2]
