廖隔塘村是荔城街道的行政村，设12个生产合作社，约430户、1650人，面积约4平方千米。[1]
村名因与廖村只隔一个鱼塘而来。村民种水稻、荔枝和迟菜心，以乌榄树和荔枝树著称；每年农历十五，全村同庆，称为「做景」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
土改时这里属一区附城乡，1955年组建廖隔塘高级农业社；1958年建公社时，与廖村下境合为廖村大队，到1960年体制下放才分开，单称廖隔塘大队。1983年11月恢复为乡，1987年1月撤区建镇，乡改为村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
廖隔塘村入选2022年度广州市美丽乡村（2023年8月公布）；该村是广东省爱卫会2021年12月评定的卫生村之一。[1]
