陈桥头村又名桥头村，是荔城街道中北部的行政村，增派路穿过境内，村域面积7.55平方千米，约960户、4460人，有陈桥头、学冚、花冚3个自然村。[1]
村里多数人姓陈，村子建在桥头，因此得名。博雅地名网称村已有约890年历史，有陈氏宗祠一座和5棵有400年历史的古榕树。[1]
经济环境[edit]
村民以种水稻为主，荔枝、乌榄为辅，收入也靠种养和外出打工。2004年起引花冚山泉供全村饮用，2009年建成污水处理系统。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村由桥头、花冚、学冚三处村落合成，起初称桥头村。土改时设桥头小乡（1952年），1955年办初级社、1957年升高级社；公社化时叫桥头大队，1981年10月改称陈桥头大队。1983年恢复为乡，1987年1月撤区建镇，乡改为村，村委会也叫桥头村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
该村获评广东省乡村治理示范村、市级美丽乡村。2026年1月，陈桥头村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。该村是广东省爱卫会2021年12月评定的卫生村之一。[1][2]
