莲塘村是佛山市南海区狮山镇西北部的行政村，区划代码440605124219，西与三水区接壤，临北江。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年至1957年先后建立农会和农业合作社，1958年并入狮南大队，1961年划出设莲塘大队，1964年复并，1978年再度划出。[2]1983年成立乡人民政府，1987年设村民委员会，2005年归狮山镇。[2]
经济[edit]
据村委会介绍，辖区面积4.3平方千米，居民1658人，约有近30家企业，以化工、五金、木业、电器、玻璃为主；农业种植花卉和蔬菜。[1]
