朝东村是广东省阳江市阳东区塘坪镇下辖的行政村，早年属红五月公社管辖。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
民国二十三年（1934年），此地归阳江县大八区的马尾三沙乡管辖。1958年，这里划归红五月公社，因大队部坐西朝东，大队便取名朝东。[1]
1966年，红五月公社改行兵团制，改称九师十四团。塘坪公社成立后，朝东归新陂大队管理；1978年自新陂分出，重设朝东大队。1987年设立朝东村委会。[1]
