莲塘村是广东省江门市新会区大泽镇最东面的行政村，东邻会城，南靠潭江，辖区面积1.42平方公里。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名来自立村时池塘里种莲藕。明洪武年间，李、简等姓先人从司前石步等地迁来立村。^[1]民国时期分属第五区大泽乡和五和乡，人民公社时期先隶五和管理区，1961年独立为莲塘大队；1984年改乡，现称村委会则从1999年起使用。^[1]

新开公路穿村而过。村民以务农为主，所产莲塘节瓜曾有名气；后来古典家具城落户村内工业区，带动了村集体经济。^[1]莲塘村在2020年、2021年和2022年入选淘宝村名单。^[1]

2015年3月，司法部、民政部将莲塘村列入第六批全国民主法治示范村（社区）；2023年11月，入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村。^[1]
