历史沿革[edit]
民国时期至建国初期属塘墩乡；人民公社化的1958年，农业合作社称竹根头大队，其后1983年称竹根头乡，到1987年，改设村民委员会，1989年再改为管理区办事处，1999年起，恢复村民委员会之名[1]。
荣誉[edit]
- 2019年9月入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]
