莲塘村是惠州市惠城区三栋镇的行政村，1980年从坝山口村分出，另设大队[1]。
地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，村委会所在村庄的坡上原有两口水塘，后经挖修连通，因此得名[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
1980年由坝山口村划出，单设莲塘大队，隶三栋公社；1983年冬改称莲塘乡，1986年7月三栋改镇后称莲塘村委会，属三栋镇至今[1]。
