儒西村在开平市百合镇东南面，距镇政府约2公里，靠近国道G325，省道S275穿村而过，辖13个村小组。[1]

村有户籍人口1558人、442户，常住480人，村党总支有党员48人。2017年被开平市人民武装部评为先进民兵营（连），2018年列为生态宜居美丽示范村创建单位。[1]2026年入选广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村。[2]
文化[edit]
村里修缮了江祖祠堂，并把闲置多年的原梓里村时光学校租出，改成时光文化园，兼作新时代文明实践站和综合文化服务中心，用以介绍华侨文化和农耕文化；还对「孖楼」周边环境做了整治。[1]
