地名与概况[edit]
村前有几口种莲的大塘，故名莲塘。全村1820人，耕地1481亩，交通便利。[1]
沿革与荣誉[edit]
1984年设莲塘乡，1986年成立村委会，1989年称管理区，此后在1998年10月经恩平市人民政府批准，正式定名为莲塘村民委员会。[1] 2023年5月，所辖莲和村入选2022年广东省卫生村。[1]
