地理环境[edit]
村域面积23.42平方千米，半丘陵地貌，石灰岩地质，土壤肥沃，辖区内有中型的马山水库和河排水库，灌溉条件较好。2008年统计有水田面积2121亩、旱地面积234亩、山地面积8726亩、鱼塘面积369亩。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2008年全村人口3283人（1029户），分散在22条自然村、20个村民小组。[1]全村有26个姓氏。[2]
经济[edit]
水稻种植面积较大。1989年后，水泥厂、化工公司、复混肥厂和石场先后在境内建成；2008年又兴建新型建材产业园，承接珠江三角洲的陶瓷产业转移，是镇的工业开发区之一。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年10月横陂解放，虾山设乡政府，沿至1952年；1958年成立虾山大队，1978年曾拆成双江、五联、草塘三个大队，1984年再合为一体。其后为虾山村委会（1986年）、虾山管理区（1989年）；1998年10月，恩平市政府批准定名虾山村民委员会。2023年5月，该村的横江村获广东省爱卫会授予2022年广东省卫生村称号。[1]
