历史沿革[edit]
50年代那时赤光和赤平还并在一个乡里；60年代撤乡后改成大队，80年代变为管理区，到1999年方成立村委会。[1][3]
地理环境[edit]
村辖地9平方千米，耕地方面水田1320亩、旱地530亩；另有山林1000亩，村民小组14个。[2]
那龙河流经村境，其中凉水井的河段两岸竹林成荫，景色幽雅，是镇内天然的垂钓处。[2]
经济[edit]
村内开发建设了美江工业园、金鸡山等工业园区，入驻企业80多家。[2]
2008年村集体经济年收入5万元，村民人均纯收入4358元。[2] 据百度百科，村集体经济年收入已超过百万元。[1]
文化[edit]
2026年1月，赤光村入选广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[3] 据百度百科，该村也是「百县千镇万村高质量发展工程」第二批典型村之一。[1]
